OBS Books is a small bookshop in Bangkok, carefully choosing illustrated books on flowers, botanicals, nature and cookery for collectors and readers who love old books you can no longer find on ordinary shelves. The Flower Letter was inspired by the books on those shelves. It began as a personal love, and became a way to share the beautiful stories flowers carry — told in letters, and in the drawings and illustrations I find in the books — with people who love the same things.
Each letter tells the story of one flower — not the version we all know, but the one the old books were enchanted by: its folklore, its beliefs, its illustrations, and the small details hidden between the lines. All of it goes into one envelope, posted to members on the second Monday of every month.
